Nutrition Month's "Breastfeeding"

Cheap may it seem, the healthiest beverage for babies are breast milk extracted from mother's love.

Breastfeeding is indeed best not only for babies, but also for mothers. Don't you know even if you duplicate the properties of a breast milk and add more vitamins and minerals in it, you can never ever  replace something better than breast milk!  And here are some facts about the beneficial effects of breast milk.

• Children received the most complete and optimal mix of nutrients and anti-bodies.

- The breast milk itself is fortified of nutrients essentially needed by a new-born baby.

• Protection against gastroenteritis, necrotizing enterocolitis.

- Breast milk is rich in probiotics with good bacteria which are helpful in digestion, therefore, it promotes healthy digestion and resistance to digestive illness.

• Boosts your child's intelligence.

- Breast milk has been evolutionarily honed over millions of years to complete building the brain during the first two years of life.  Cow's milk has been evolutionarily honed to.., hmm.., maybe build big bones?  Whoever heard of a smart cow?

• Can reduce mothers' stress level and your risk of postpartum depression.

- Seeing your very own child lifts up a mother's spirit thus, preventing postpartum depression and stress.

• And last (but not the least), it can even protect your child from obesity.

- Study shows that breastfeeding prevents obesity with parameters from new-borns to adolescents.

All of these are indeed good to hear, but I didn't say that even you (ADULTS) should also drink breast milk (LOL, that's too awkward to think. :P)

But don't worry guys (ADULTS), there's still some way to be as healthy as a newborn baby. It's the new ice cream that's made up of breast milk... Yes, you see it right.. It was from a breast milk! In terms of taste, there is no difference compared to an ordinary ice cream, but this so-called "breast milk ice cream" is MORE nutritious compared to the ordinary one.

So mothers, let your newborn angels  taste  your breastmilk to protect them from any harm and of course, for them to be BEAUTIFUL and INTELLIGENT like us "The Hijas"!
